Lauralai’s Light for Our Heroes was founded with one simple mission: to shine a light on the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country and to remind them that they are never forgotten.
Inspired by a deep love for God, country, and community, founder Lauralai Brannen created this platform to honor veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families through acts of kindness, community service, education, and advocacy. From organizing service projects and supporting veteran organizations to creating opportunities for others to give back, the platform is dedicated to making a lasting impact—one act of service at a time.
As the author of A Thank You from Little Boots, Lauralai also uses storytelling to teach younger generations about the sacrifices made by America’s heroes while encouraging gratitude, compassion, and patriotism.
Lauralai believes that service extends far beyond a single day of recognition. Every card written, every volunteer project completed, every conversation shared, and every life touched has the power to remind a hero that they are seen, valued, and appreciated.

Lauralai Brannen proudly serves as a 2026 Kadas Promise Ambassador, using her voice and platform to advocate for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and hardship. Inspired by the legacy of Kadance Fredericksen, Lauralai is committed to spreading hope, compassion, and awareness while supporting the mission of Kadas Promise.
As an ambassador, she believes every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and valued. Through community outreach, volunteer service, and advocacy, Lauralai strives to be a source of encouragement for children and families facing difficult circumstances. She is passionate about creating opportunities to give back and inspiring others to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Serving as a Kadas Promise Ambassador is more than a title to Lauralai—it is a calling to lead with kindness, extend God’s love to others, and continue a mission that brings light, hope, and healing to children across the community. She is honored to carry forward this important work and remains dedicated to making a lasting impact, one act of compassion at a time.
Lauralai Brannen is the proud 2026 Miss North Florida. As a titleholder, she is dedicated to using her platform to inspire others through faith, leadership, and service. She proudly represents North Florida while advocating for veterans, active-duty military members, and their families through her organization, Lauralai’s Light for Our Heroes. Through pageantry, community service, and advocacy, Lauralai strives to make a meaningful impact and encourage others to lead with compassion, gratitude, and purpose.
